IPECC is in the process of implementing the project titled “Advancing Green Infrastructure in the Western Balkans 6 (WB6)”. In the current state of implementation, the activities encompass observation and assessment, aiming to provide insights into the state of play of implementation of the GAWB, focusing on green infrastructure and the existing tools that support their implementation.

With strong cooperation with CSOs, academic institutions, trade unions, experts in relevant fields from the WB region, the observation is conducted through desk research, cooperation with stakeholders from WB region, ad-hoc meetings and validation of results and via online meetings with representatives from the national authorities from WB6. Based on the gathered data and assessment, a Policy Paper with short and medium term recommendations for improvement will be developed, which will serve as the foundation for facilitating advocacy activities, involving stakeholders from the WB6 Region and the EU.

As part of the project’s activities, on 2nd of July 2024, IPECC held a meeting with representatives of the EU Delegation in Albania, where a brief information about the project was presented.
