Jadranka Ivanova, holds a BSc in Law and a MSc in Public Policy and Management (Pittsburg University, USA) and a MSs in Environmental Science and Management (Brunel University, London, UK). She has almost 20 years of working experience in the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning in several managerial positions. She was responsible for the development and harmonization of the national legislation in the field of environment and climate with that of the EU, for the EU accession process for Chapter 27 and for the public administration reforms in the field of environment. From 2013 to 2017 she served as Senior Program Officer (SPO) and IPA Coordinator and successfully implemented more than 30 technical assistance and works projects funded by the EU IPA funds for environment and climate change, totaling over 80 million euros and has successfully managed IPA I Component 3 Operational Programme for Regional Development 2007-2013 for the environment sector. At the same time, she was responsible for the programming of the EU funds for the IPA II programming period 2014-2020 and chaired the Government Sector Working Group on Environment and Climate Action.
Has more than 23 years of experience in the field of environment and climate. She has drafted more than 15 laws and more than 400 bylaws in this area, harmonized with EU Acquis. Part of her work engagement realizes in Albania as a Team leader of a program that provides support to the Ministry of Tourism and Environment in the process of negotiating with the EU for Chapter 27.
In her working career she conducted numerous trainings on legislation and management in environment aimed at strengthening the administrative capacity of national and local government bodies in North Macedonia.
